  our group of family, 3 adults and 5 kids ranging from 11-18, loved this place. plenty of space, well equipped, seperate "apartment" downstairs for the teenagers. loved the decks and the campfire in the fire pit every night... and the view of the lake. it was worth the gravelly,dusty 3 mile ride up the hill at the end of the day!

  We had a great week at Lion Mountain. The property is beautiful and the view can't be beat. I could spend all day on the deck. The suggestions I have is put more -larger- beds in the house. The house is HUGE and there is lots of unused space. Could put in at least 3 more queen sized beds. There was very little "shared" stuff in the house. All drawers & cabinets were empty. I've always liked when vaca rentals had amenities you may need (scissors, paper, etc) and this was lacking. And since it is up in the mountains, it was a trek to go out and find some of the things we needed. We also could have used more TP :) Overall though our stay was great!

  The Lion Mt Chalet is a beautiful home! Amy was very helpful in setting up our stay. We were very surprised that the home was so well stocked. Loved the shower in the upstairs bedroom area! Only real issue was that the railing around the outside deck area is wobbly and needs fixing and that when we went to open the front door one side came off as it appeared to be attached to rotted wood. Am sure that these things will be fixed other than that it was a wonderful week and we will definately go thru VRBO when we rent another home for a vacation.

  Overall the property was well maintained (except for all of the mouse poop). It has a well stocked kitchen and is in a pretty good location with nice views. We were quite disappointed to find out that even though it was listed as having airconditioning, there was no air upstairs and was so hot it wasn't possible to sleep up there until very late (with window open and fan in window). The basement, however was freezing. It was inconvenient to have such a huge difference in temperature throughout the three floors of the house and would have been nice to have been warned. It was a bit overpriced for being an older home and owner did not tell us of other extra costs ($40 for insurance, $40 for processing) which would have been nice to see on the website so we knew what we were getting into. The rental management was easy to work with and we were happy with their service. Would probably be a better stay during cooler weather.

  Somers is a great launch site for day trips to Glacier National Park, Whitefish, Kalispell, Bigfork and Polson. We enjoyed great views, great restaurants and a cruise on Flathead Lake to Wild Horse Island

  We enjoyed our stay at the Lion Mountain Chalet. The house was roomy, comfortable and had every amenity we needed. We loved the wrap around deck with its awesome view of Flathead Lake and enjoyed the fire pit. The location was a bit remote (down 3 miles of dirt road), but we saw deer everyday and the star gazing was amazing. We were close to hiking, sailing, and horseback riding and Glacier was within an hours drive. Bigfork and Kalispell were about 15 minutes away and had lots of restaurants and shops. We would highly recommend this house if you are looking to experience Montana's natural beauty.

  We very munch enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The view is amazing and although you felt you were very secluded, you're still only minutes from everything. We loved it. There are a few issues that need to be worked out like the ant problem and the deck railings that aren't too stable, but overall a great place.

  We used the Lion Mountain Chalet for a mini-family reuinion involving 3 families. The layout of the property was perfect for allowing us to do things together, and for some of the kids to break away and play with each other. The kids are already asking when we will return.
