Unplugged At The Lake

Stayed 6 days in August, 2010
Going into BigFork every day for about an hour was lots of fun, but we couldn't bear to leave the lake cabin except for a short time. It was so peacefully quiet, no sounds at all except the waves lapping at the shore, birds chirpping and the breeze in the trees. We stayed at the cabin for meals, barbecuing on the deck or puttering around in the kitchen. No fast food, no phone calls, no busyness. We talked, we took naps, we sat on the dock and watched sail boats glide by. We read and wrote letters. It was perfect. Next year we want to stay twice as long, we weren't ready to leave and go back into the rat race world.
